You know the story: Boy meets girl, Girl likes boy, Boy falls in love with girl, Girl loves boy right back…The rest my friends is history!!! Dion describes Kamaree as an “Uptown Girl” and funny enough Kam calls Dion her “Downtown Boy” Together they share a LOVE for hip hop, fine dining, travel and each other
Dion chose Kamaree’s birthday to surprise her with a proposal. In front of friends and family he asked her to be his future and she of course said yes!
Fast forward to 09.29.13, the place was the gorgeous and historical Biltmore Ballroom in Atlanta, Georgia. The Dobbins chose for their color pallet Blush, Grey and Ivory. Having a fun, laid back and memorable wedding was extremely important to the duo since this was their personality. They are always smiling, joking and finding the positive in every situation
Their was not a dry eye in the crowd of almost (200) family and friends as Kamaree came down the aisle, being escorted down the aisle by her mom, who has always been by her side so it made perfect sense for her to be the one to give her daughter away on the biggest day of her life.
Dion and Kamaree chose to work with some of Atlanta’s Finest vendors to bring their vision to life:

As a professional wedding planner I am surrounded by love on a daily basis. I myself have been married for 21 years to the most amazing husband, father, best friend and confidant. Young couples sometimes ask me what my secret is to staying married. This campaign was designed by a fellow wedding planner by the name of Ms. Athena DeVonne of Coalese Creations (Dallas, TX) as a way to put MARRIAGE on the fore front of society.
When you turn on the television, one of the first things that you encounter is reality shows discussing: who is divorcing who, who has a girlfriend or boyfriend on the side and who is separating. No more do we want this to be the “IN” thing to talk about. We want to discuss what it takes to experience longevity in your marriage. We want to see what others did to stay married for a decade or longer.
Myself along with dozens of other wedding planners have joined together on this campaign. For the next (30) days we will each post/highlight a different story of a couple who has been married at least a DECADE. If you yourself or you know someone who has shared a decade of love in marriage I would love to share your story in the goal of touching the lives and hearts of newly engaged and newly wed couples. As well as to anyone just needing to hear … love is strong and exists!
Here is what you have to do:
1. Email us in the subject line include “Decades of Love“
2. Once received we will email you the questionnaire to fill out and return to us along with a picture of your sweetie
3. We will then give you confirmation of what day your story will be on our BLOG as well as Facebook Business Page. As an added incentive to participate Z. Curlett Events is giving the couple that receives the most LIKES a $50.00 Visa Gift Card
I challenge you all to make a difference in the marriage of all of newly married and recently engaged couples…Let’s show them that marriage does in fact WORK!!!!!
There is nothing more beautiful than “Young Love” It puts a instant smile on my face to see two people genuinely in love with life and each other. When Lawonna and Brandon met several years ago they would have never imagined that they would one day be getting married. Please enjoy their engagement session that was taken in the beautiful city of Little Rock, Arkansas. The wedding theme is “Love & Basketball” to incorporate both L + B LOVE for each other and for the game of basketball

Why photographers HATE iPads/tablets at weddings & events
by Bokeh Amore Photography
This is your special day, you’ve dreamed about this day for a long time. Your first look at him standing there, waiting for you at the altar or you’re standing there in awe of how beautiful your bride looks walking the isle…….. WAIT! Not anymore, unfortunately as you’re cherishing the…se special moment you aren’t able to focus on what is supposed to be your very first time seeing each other in your wedding dress/tuxedo. Your eyes wonder not to the guest that you have invited to share this special moment with you but their phones, iPads, tables and any other picture taking device. …..
The Bride and Groom hire professionals so that they can take their wedding photos. From pre-wedding to ceremony to wedding reception.
You’re invited as a guest to partake in this special moment of their lives, not to be the “iPad-photographers” or “smart-phone photographers” or else they would have paid you for your services.
As professional wedding photographers we feel disrespected by those who make it hard for us to do the job that we were hired to do by the bride and groom. We shouldn’t have to say “excuse me” for you to get out the way. We shouldn’t have to shoot over your shoulder to get the shots we were hired to get. We shouldn’t have to show newlyweds a photo of what would had been an awesome shot but isn’t because of how distracting a 7 in or 10 in screen that is in the way is.
We know you’re excited about your friends/family getting married but leave the photography for the professionals … We promise we will get better quality, clearer and much nicer photos than your tablet, phone or digital camera could ever get.
Please, if you’re invited to a wedding ask yourself this “What if I’ve invested this money, MY money for a professional photographer and all these electronics are in the way”, “Would I be happy with all the distractions?”
As an invited guest be sure to put away your electronics, sit, relax and enjoy the wedding ceremony, first dance, garter toss / bouquet toss. Enjoy the wedding you were invited to be a part of and witness and stop with the electronic nonsense.
